A $500 per week advance payment by credit card will hold a weekly reservation. The payment balance is due 60 days prior to scheduled arrival. Final payment may be by credit card, check, or money order. 11% Florida state and hotel tax is applicable.
Cancellation allowed up to 60 days prior to scheduled arrival with full advance payment refund.

No refunds are given for cancellation within 60 days of scheduled arrival or after final payment is made unless home is re-booked for that period. We suggest our available travel insurance to cover cancellations due to health or weather related issues.

Captiva Island FL Vacation Homes

Classic Captiva ground level, cottage style house with your own private, secluded swimming pool for your weekly vacation rental, and just a short walk to the Gulf of Mexico beach. What a wonderful spot to feel the privacy and island feel of Captiva, yet be such a short walk to the village restaurants and shops.

Experience the Captiva Island life on the Gulf of Mexico with the Mermaid Home, a classic cottage style home with your own private, secluded pool. Miles of white sugar sand beach are just a two minute walk away.

Captiva is a most pleasant 50 minute drive from Ft. Myers International Airport. The Ft. Myers area is known for the warmest winter temperatures of the country. Traveling from the UK or Europe? Our Mermaid Home is the perfect location for your next holiday let.

The new kitchen is fully equipped to satisfy the family with children or the entertaining of adults. A dining room with a kitchen bar area, or the umbrella table at the pool provide a choice for dining. A Weber gas grill on the pool deck is great for grilling local fish.

The living room has a queen sleeper and an entertainment center with LCD HDTV, DVD and a Onkyo stereo system with i-Pod docking, 6-disc CD changer and Bose speakers. Enjoy our eclectic CD music collection, and a large DVD selection is available for loan at the Captiva Library, just a 2 minute walk from the house.

A built in desk supports a portable phone with answering machine and free high speed wireless Internet is included if you must be in touch.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, cable remote LCD TV and a new master bath with a sunken dual head shower area big enough for the enjoyment of two. Sliding glass doors open to a furnished screened porch that leads to the pool.

The second bedroom has twin beds and a cable remote LCD TV and DVD. It’s ideal for another couple, the children and maybe even a nanny. The second bath has a fantastic, new Italian tile and glass block walk-in shower. All linens are provided.

Two double French doors open dramatically to the screened, heated and underwater lighted, 26 foot long pool. No stairs are required as this cottage is ground level.

The entire property and pool area is surrounded by colorful and lush tropical palms and foliage, such as Coconut Palm trees, flowering Hibiscus, Frangi-Pani, Periwinkle, Croton and more.

The gorgeous Gulf beach and famous Gulf sunsets are a two minute walk, and the sunrise at the docks on the bay is even closer. Extra amenities include central air conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, laundry room, and 7-speed men’s and ladies' bicycles. beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler, and a handy beach cart. Rental children’s bikes can be delivered to your door.
